Loft making 101

First:   You need several beams, in our case 3, a tractor and very heavy chain.
Someone to direct you ...optional.
Second:  The ability to "drive' a 40' , 900 lb  beam, as it swings around, hopefully not hitting anyone or knocking any part of your new barn out.
Not to worry, brother is directing this moving object as it sways from side to side.
After all they have moved lots of fence post, that are at least 4' long and weight nearly 2 lbs. each.
How different could this be?
Third:  Center this swaying beam.
Fourth:  Lower the beam down on 3 post,
hoping that the beam is straight enough to fit on each of the post.
And last, but certainly no least
Have a brother who is a great welder, builds bridges, and
is willing to help out for one entire afternoon after working all day.

It is a great start, and we are definitely in his debt.

Thanks for visiting our "lofty" part of the country,
Jana

    1. Ya it has a ways to go, right now it's more of a "walk thru" rather than a loft. LOL

    1. No the wedding is taking place at the MB church, but we are having dinner after the dress rehearsal at the barn so that might be giving him motivation to get it done.
